THE RETURN OF THE SATANIC UNICORNS

The Return of The Satanic Unicorns is a commissioned –6,40 mt x 1,60 mt– rooftop wall mural painting.

This is the second part of the “Rise of the Satanic Unicorns” canvas painting I made in 2020, and took me 1 whole week to paint -just by myself- using waterproof wall paint, Rust-o-leum and Montana Alien spray paints.

I began with a rough sketch, with a messy beautiful chaotic composition. Once I get the rhythm that the composition needs, I made a clean pencil sketch, later I do a quick color test to be sure what paints will need, and I start to draw directly on the wall, without using projectors or scale-drawing gadgets.

First of all I paint a basic layer of paint to define the shapes, and after a couple of coats I can begin to let it dry to see if it needs more paint coats or if I can begin to add lines and details.
