The LABEL 228 Sticker-art collection is a personal project that was born over a decade ago, when I began drawing and tagging on white stickers.
When I first got a pack of empty United States Postal Service label 228 stickers from a friend who came from the US, I began to use their bigger size to made a colored illustration series, using at first a mix of Posca markers and in some cases, Tombow Fudenosuke pen, and Chameleon markers. But after a short run, I went into the use of full Posca on them.
This series is about the TV cartoons I used to see as a child -my very first influences on drawing- and of course about TV cartoons characters that eventually came to me. In some little cases I draw them as an exercise or tribute without further changes on their original design, but the most of the Label228 stickers art series, the characters are twisted into zombie beings.
