ADIDAS

On november 2015, ADIDAS recruit a group of artists to customize their SUPERSTAR sport shoes. Each artist has a pair of shoes, an official invitation and the handbook about Superstar.

The first week of december 2015, I delivered the already finished the art-intervention over a new pair of Adidas Superstar shoes.

The process with this “unusual” canvas was the same of every artwork I make: First I make a pencil sketch with some rough ideas that came up in my comic-lowbrow style, and also sketch the same over printed photos of the sides of the shoes. Then I apply only the lineart over the surface and later I add the color based on different things like color theory or the current mood I’m in, using Posca markers and Pebeo acrylic paint.

Finally I add some light sealant.
